" then when i say everything is great, go ahead and invite them selves over anyway.
I was thinking about this last night, I hate it when someone drop by without calling.
Have you notice, JW's will drop by without a warning. They may call a few minutes
before dropping by, but in most cases they just show up at your door. I tell my kids,
please call, we may be having sex. My kids, sure dad....
But It's rude.
But it would be priceless to see the expression on their face if you told them'F-ck you and
the your desert god, I guarantee they will never call on you again.
i'm still reading and researching the bible.
a thought occurred to me... the universe is so huge and full yet most of it cannot be seen by the naked human eye.. while jw's could claim that god created the stars to look pretty/ for navigation... what about the rest that cannot be seen?
the huge never ending mass of universe that the bronze age writers of the bible had no idea about?.
Lets see, we have about 183 billion stars in our galaxy, so God created them for
our, whatever. So with the naked eye we may be able to see 1-5% of those stars.
But God knew one day man would invent the telescope so we could gaze at his
creation.
i just noticed in the bible that on day three, god created the plants and trees on the earth.... day four, god created the sun, moon and stars!
so that means that the vegetation that is by its very nature dependant upon light to grow and photosynthesise was created a day before the sun that it needs to live!???.
this gets even more strange when you factor in the jw exhuse that a day to god is like a thousand years.

problem with that kind of ray, it's the most powerful kind of explosion known in
the universe, may have triggered a mass extinction on earth within the past billion
years. But who knows, maybe he (GOD) scorched the earth (I screwed up) and decided

How could there be light bathing the earth before the sun was created?
Actually there are many sources of light, not just the sun. There are also many types
of light, not just visible light. Short-wave light includes ultraviolet light, x-rays and others.
Light does not automatically require the sun.

instead of this latest video by governing body member david splane, attempting to explain the current view of what jesus meant about "this generation" in matthew 24:34, the governing body should, if they were truly wanting to put "truth" first, have simply said "this is one idea we have, but it may be wrong, and in all honesty, we aren't sure what jesus meant here.".
then, they could have gone on to give the different valid options for interpreting this passage.. instead they doubled-down on a confusing doctrine that can't really be supported by scripture.. there was no overlapping generation of 100+ years in the original 1st century fulfillment of jesus' words, so why would there be a 175-year overlapping generation in the antitypical modern fulfillment?.
while we are on the topic, why are they even still saying that matthew 24:34 has a typical and antitypical fulfillment, since they said we shouldn't interpret things now as types and antitypes unless the bible explicitly says so?.

became a JW. Today she is the leader of the sisters in her congregation. She was a nut
in HS and a bigger nut now. My daughter (JW) told me Dad you know sisterXXXX, she
is a little strange, huh. I told her, you don't know the half of it..
I saw her a few years back and she just stared at me while the wife and I was
having lunch, creepy. She have been a pioneer for over 30 years and never married.
